Ben Gavin B. 1981 is an artist and curator who lives and works on Tharawal Land, NSW. He graduated with Honours at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney in 2010. The same year he was recipient of the Zelda Stedman Scholarship and guest curator at RMIT Galleries in Melbourne. In 2014 the artist was shortlisted for the prestigious swiss watch manufacturer Franc Vila Emerging Art Prize. Previously exhibitions include Spring1883 with General Store, Luis Adelantado, Valencia, FEINKOST, Berlin, ASC, London, Intersection in the Arts, San Francisco, USA, Galerie Blutenweiss, Berlin, General Store, Sydney, Tank Arts Centre, Cairns, ANU Canberra and with the University of Sydney. His works and reviews have been featured in Artforum, Frieze, RealTime, Vault, Trouble and Umelec Contemporary Art magazines. TimeOut, The Thousands and Observer, New York.
